This is the original character design sheet for Pirate Jim for the pirate books. You can see he's changed quite a bit from initial drawings to how he looks in the finished pictures.

This is the original characted design sheet for Captain Crab for the pirate books

This is a nearly completed image for one of the Pirate stories I've been working on.

I've virtually finished the 5th in a series (of 5) pirate stories for children. This is one of the pictures of Captain Crab shouting.

This is a selection of superheros for a GCSE science text book.

This is a superman rat I did as a test for a GCSE science book

I like this picture. I've been looking at lots of politcal cartoons, and stuff from that HUGE book of every cartoon that has ever been printed in the New Yorker magazine. It's well good and well recommended.

this is a picture of someone next to a swimming pool for an ELT book.

this is from a sequence of 7 illustrations for an ELT book suggesting size. as you can probably tell, this is near the end of the sequence.

follow your way through the maze in an indiana jones style adventure. It's not really a maze, but this illustration is for an ELT book - with the emphasis on going "through" the tunnel, and "over" the wall, and "past" the dogs etc etc.

this is the second of 7 or 8 images i did for a book of comedy rugby stories and anecdotes. Not having any idea about rugby at all, I'm told that this is funny, and if that's the case, well....

This is an unusual depatarture for me, as this cartoon is hand coloured. I had great fun making it and, (if I had the patience) I'd like to do more like this. the joy of creation was marred only by the troubling fact that the paper I drew it on after I'd stretched it stuck to the heavy bit of old kitchen cabinet that i'd stretched it on. Still, a quick going over with a jigsaw afterwards meant that it became the perfect wooden mounted gift for a friend of mine.

this page is my favourite from "Captain Cool"

this is a page from "Captain Cool" a book that will be coming out in around 4 or so months time through Watts Publishing. it's for kids and libraries and stuff.

image for a photocopyable book of teachers resources. this one's a for a board game like frogger where you hop from lilly pad too lilly pad
this is "Meg" the other character from the pixel twins. she's quite foxy.
this is the character design for "Gig" one half of the pixel twins, a brace of characters who introduce the reader to stuff in a book about digital technology for kids.
